Holders of a temporary Green Card in the US usually have two years to file a petition to remove the conditions on their temporary resident status. If the petition is not timely filed, such a person will lose resident status in the US.

Our law firm recently assisted a client to avoid that fate, by timely filing a petition on the client's behalf to remove conditions on the client's US permanent resident status and securing an extension from the USCIS, to ensure those conditions are ultimately removed within the legal and required time-frame.

Many applications and petitions filed before the USCIS are usually "hit" with a Request for Further Evidence (RFE), meaning such a filing is missing certain information / documents necessary for the USCIS to make a final decision on the application or petition.
